ABOUT YOUR RIDE!
THE TRAIN CARS
Our vintage rolling stock includes three coaches from the early 1920s (1158, 300 and 1195), a Silver Dome car from the 1950s Super Chief, and a 1940s-era Caboose. Train cars will be added depending on number of bookings. The 1158 and 300 coaches are the standard coaches in daily use. The 1195 is usually added on for large school groups. Most of our cars are pictured at right.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIDE
Dress in layers so that you can add or remove clothing as weather permits. Once the sun goes down in the high desert, temperatures drop a good 10 degrees, so be prepared. Sun block, a hat with a strap, and unglasses are a good idea if you plan on being outsideon the flat car for any length of time.
Our Gift Shop sells film, disposable cameras, sunblock, and t-shirts, hats, train souvenirs and memorabilia. Plan on showing up a little early so that you can browse the goods!
